Joy Becker, PA is leaving CMG for a Research Position in December 2021
CMG wishes all the best to Joy Becker, PA from our Century Center office as she starts a new chapter in her life in pharmaceutical research starting December, 2021. Here is a message from her to all of her patients:
October 19, 2021
Dear patients and families,
It is with mixed emotions that I announce my departure from Children’s Medical Group. I have worked at Children’s Medical Group for the past 9 years and I have enjoyed getting to know all the families that come to our clinic. But after much thought, I have decided to pursue a position in pharmaceutical research. I have worked in clinical care for the past 15 years, and it is so difficult for me to leave the families that I have grown to love and my amazing co-workers, but I am also excited to utilize my clinical skills in a new role.
You are welcome to schedule with any of the other incredible providers at our office after my departure. If you are receiving birth control from me or have a Nexplanon contraceptive device that is due for removal in the coming years, please call the clinic so they can either schedule you with another provider to take over your medication refills or refer you to the gynecologist for Nexplanon removal if needed. If you are receiving ADHD medications from me, please call to get established with a new provider who can take over your medication management.
If you are due for any check-ups and would like to come to see me before I leave, please call to schedule before the end of November 2021. If you are not due for a check-up but would like to come by to say hi or drop off a note, please stop by; I’d love to see you.
It has been my honor and privilege to help care for your children through the years, and I appreciate the trust you instilled in me. I have loved watching your children grow up and being a part of their lives. I will always remember the conversations we’ve had, the smiles, the laughs, the hugs, and the tears.
For my little ones, thanks for teaching me so much and for making me smile. My parting words for you are from a wise man named Dr Seuss:
“You’re off to great places
Today is your day
Your mountain is waiting
So get on your way”
For my older patients, it has been such a pleasure seeing you grow and hearing about your achievements, your soccer games, choral performances, proms, etc… and watching you graduate, go off to college and get jobs. Thanks for being honest with me and reaching out when you needed help. My departing words to you are also a quote from Dr. Seuss
“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And you are the one who’ll decide where to go…”
Thank you again for allowing me to take care of your children over the years it has been an honor.
