Dr. Marcus grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana (go Hoosiers!), and she has practiced medicine in Atlanta for most of her career. Her passion for children’s health began at an early age, growing up in a family with a mother as a teacher and a father as a pediatrician. She earned her Bachelor of Science at Tulane University with a major in psychology and her Doctorate of Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Marcus then completed her pediatric residency at Emory University and has been practicing pediatrics since 2004.
Dr. Marcus enjoys all aspects of pediatric care, and she is especially passionate about discussing child development and preventative medicine at well visits. Dr. Marcus always makes it a priority to get to know her patients and their families on a more personal level. As a mother and physician, Dr. Marcus strives to treat her patients as she would treat her own children.
In her free time, Dr. Marcus enjoys spending time with her husband and two teenage daughters. She also enjoys running, reading, baking, traveling, and being with family and friends. Dr. Marcus has been practicing in the Decatur area for the majority of her career and is so happy to be part of the CMG family.
